Georgie Clark
was the grand dame
of the Grand
Canyon. Her eventful life includes a bicycle trip from New York
City to Los Angelos and flight school in preparation for service with
the Ferry Command. She developed the art and science of rafting
on big rapids, and was a pioneer in commercial river running.
